Launched in 1995, Networking Companies is the oldest and most established network of business organizations within the four-city region comprised of Trollhättan, Vänersborg, Uddevalla and Lysekil.

Our network is made up of 50 corporations active in this four-city region, the majority of which are suppliers to the automotive, mobility and technology industry. A total of 14,000 employees currently work in our member companies and they are doing business with each others for more than 3 billion SEK.

Started for the purpose of enhancing the competitive strengths of our members by means of both business and competence development, Networking Companies has evolved into being a discussion partner, sounding board and logical meeting place for both established and start-up technology companies in West Sweden. Our group is involved in collaborative projects with regional business development entities and with University West. Over the years, we have created excellent relationships and close contacts between our corporate members and our supportive partner organizations.

Our goals are to reach larger and more comprehensive marketing solutions, achieve new business areas within new technology and with an interesting competetive future, offer cutting edge competence within traditional as well as newly evolving business sectors, in addition to greater collaboration among corporate members.

We hold regular meetings to which we invite key persons and corporate leaders from other companies of interest to our membership for the purpose of creating deeper business relationships and speed up business process and contacts.

Our Goals

• Act as a partner for the technology and mobility industry in west Sweden
• Broaden business contacts and create new business development opportunities
• Showcase the cutting edge competence of the companies
• Create the preconditions leading to comprehensive, system based industry solutions

Results of Networking Activities
The companies:

• Created 114 additional full-time industry positions
• Members conducted business with each other to the tune of over SEK 3 billion

• A total of 300 company leaders participated in 14 programs by discussing and marketing themselves before key invited guests and leading Swedish and European corporations and corporate leaders:
12 companies entered new business areas/markets 5 companies and 17 participants sharpened their production know-how
24 companies are currently participating in an R&D project in partnership with University West
